What this is

Founded in Fashion is an Instagram account and a website about the business side of fashion: the money, the brands, and the rules. Everything on it is shared to inform and to teach. It is made by one person with the help of software, including AI models, and every post is read and approved by that person before it is published.

Not advice

Nothing on the site or the account is investment, financial, legal, tax, or accounting advice, and nothing is an offer or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security, product, or service. Not investment advice. Companies, prices, and numbers change, and posts can contain mistakes: check a primary source before relying on anything. The page called Not financial advice says more.

Sources and corrections

Posts name the sources they rely on. A fact is checked against its source, and where something is a view and not a fact it is labelled as one. If a mistake is found, the post is corrected and the correction is noted with its date. To report a mistake, send a message to the account on Instagram or write to maxedinfashion@gmail.com.

What you may do with the content

You may read, share, and link to posts, with credit to Founded in Fashion and a link to the original. You may quote a short passage with credit. You may not copy posts or pictures wholesale, present them as your own, resell them, or use them to train a model, without asking first.

Third-party material

Posts quote and summarise public filings, company statements, and news, and they link to them. That material belongs to its owners and is used here under the exceptions that allow short quotation, criticism, review, and reporting. Company and product names belong to their owners and are used only to say what a post is about. Pictures made for posts are generated by software and are not photographs of real people or real products.

Links to other sites are there for reference. Those sites are not controlled here, and their own terms apply.

No promises

The site is provided as it is. It may be changed, paused, or removed at any time. To the extent the law allows, the person behind the site is not liable for loss that comes from relying on it. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited, including consumer protection rights in Quebec.

These terms are read under the law of Quebec and the federal law of Canada. Readers in the United States are welcome.
